Marlys H. Witte, MD


Dr. Witte is Professor of Surgery in the College of Medicine at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She pioneered the international development of the discipline of lymphology (both clinical and basic), which incorporates the integrated workings of the lymphatic system's major components (lymphatics, lymph, lymph nodes, and lymphocytes) in health and disease. She is currently Secretary-General of the 42-nation International Society of Lymphology, editor of its journal Lymphology, supervisor of the ISL’s central office in Tucson, and director of the Lymphedema-Angiodysplasia Clinic at the University of Arizona where patients with lymphatic disorders are evaluated by non-invasive imaging and treated by operative and non-operative methods.
